Reacting to the post, Sai called Babil one of the most talented and hardworking actors he had met. He says he was very sorry about the situation, but understood Babil's need to take care of himself first. Sai had recalled his experience of working with Babil and expressed his excitement for more opportunities of working with him. The scene unfolded when Babil, late actor Irrfan Khan’s son, had posted videos on Instagram Stories calling out Bollywood actors, including naming some of them. He deactivated his account afterwards, but returned to explain that he felt his videos were "super misinterpreted" and that he had only meant to compliment rather than insult the actors.

After the incident, Sai wrote a long message on Instagram Stories and ranted against Babil's team for the way they had handled the situation. ‘We spent months praying and waiting for the approval’, he said, but only the people mentioned in Babil’s video were regarded, while the rest of them who worked for the project are feeling left out. Sai demanded an apology in good faith, saying soon sympathy would not do. In the comments section of Sai’s post, Babil shared that he was heartbroken. He then recounts the two years he dedicated to the movie and how he gave up his body and sanity to accurately embody the character. Babil highlighted the work he did for the project and his commitment to keeping up the style the director wanted to do for the character.
