The casting of the upcoming Shah Rukh Khan- Daughter Suhana Khan-starrer, "King," has indeed been a confusing one. While the father-daughter pair's role is confirmed, there have been a lot of speculations about SRK's love interest in the movie. Rani Mukerji reunites with Shah Rukh Khan after 19 years according to a report in Pinkvilla, Rani Mukerji is soon set to work with Shah Rukh Khan after a gap of 19 years, with their last release together being Karan Johar’s “Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna” (2006). Word of this news is big for several reasons not only is there a long drought period since they were last filmed together, but Rani fans have been fasting for a while as they can finally gawk at her, albeit briefly.

According to the report, Rani Mukerji has been signed for the role of Suhana Khan’s mother, a pivotal character in the scheme of the action-thriller. Her role is said to be a meaty one and she adds emotional tinge to the script. The piece goes on to state that Rani is not just doing a fleeting cameo in the film; it is a good part that she immediately gave her nod for balking hearing the story.

Some other big names that are said to have been roped in and have already shot for the comedy drama are Jackie Shroff, Anil Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, Abhishek Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Abhay Verma. Cameras are slated to start rolling on May 20, with most of the shooting to take place in Europe. The film is currently scheduled for a late 2026 release.
