Vicky Kaushals film crosses 700 crore mark globally :

Vicky Kaushal's historical action drama "Chhaava" has achieved a global box office revenue of ₹700 crore. The film experienced a significant decrease in earnings on its 25th day, Monday, following a period of unrivaled success. Due to the Hindu festival of Holi, approximately 5,000 theaters were closed, but ticket sales are expected to increase in the coming days. The Maddock Films production has already joined the ₹500 crore net club in India, becoming the first film of 2025 and the eighth overall to reach this milestone. In the Hindi market, it's the fourth fastest to hit this mark, behind "Stree 2" (22 days), "Jawan" (18 days), and "Pushpa 2" (11 days).

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, "Chhaava," which also stars Rashmika Mandanna and Akshaye Khanna, has grossed ₹85 crore overseas and ₹620.3 crore in India. The film's total worldwide earnings reached ₹705.3 crore on its 25th day. The release of its Tamil version on March 7 boosted its fourth Sunday performance. However, on its fourth Monday (Day 25), the film collected only ₹4 crore at the domestic box office. The separate earnings for the Tamil and Hindi versions have not been disclosed. The total domestic collection now stands at ₹526.05 crore after 25 days in theaters.

Directed by Laxman Utekar, "Chhaava" is a period drama depicting the conflict between Maratha King Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and Mughal emperor Aurangzeb. Vicky Kaushal portrays the Maratha leader, while Rashmika Mandanna plays Yesubai, Sambhaji Maharaj's wife, and Akshaye Khanna takes on the role of Aurangzeb.
