Dileeps 150th movie Prince and Family Review :

Prince and family is a Indian Malayalam film written and directed by Viswan, This is Dileep's 150th movie. The touching life story is a good viewing experience for die-hard Dileep fans who waited long for a movie from their star. The story is about the prince (Dileep) the father of the Chakkalakkal family and responsible for the control of the house. Prince is outstanding in overall performance, but in his home, he is a nobody in facing his family. The movie is located in a small village in the heart of Travancore, Kerala and it is about Prince Chakkalakkal and his relatives. Although he was raised a Christian and is the most eligible bachelor in town, Prince is still searching for a wife to spend the rest of his life with.

Stressed out with his personal issues and the pressure from his family, the film also explores about love and the pursuit of happiness. The story develops while Prince struggles past these hurdles and finds a satisfying relationship. Dileep plays the role of Prince with ease, a man caught between the problems in his life and duties towards family. Dhyan Sreenivasan is good in the supporting role, Siddique and Manju Pillai also add their bit to the family angle with their fine performances. Manju made a mark as Sofiya in Vandemataram.

Sanal Dev’s music is one of the main elements of the film that manages to tell the years-later segment’s emotional depth. Binto Stephen, the director, keeps the film moving, although a few scenes might have been better served with a bit more patient editing. ‘Prince and Family’ “Prince and Family” tells an engaging family story that skews emotional and relatable. Good performances by Dileep and well-written supporting characters are the highlights of the film, which goes down as a commendable film in Dileep's filmography.
