Aadujeevitham Official Trailer
Trailer Description :
Aadujeevitham, an survival drama looks like nothing short of madness, as the trailer opens with a haunting aerial shot of an endless desert. We meet Prithviraj Sukumaran’s Najeeb, the man who’s buried lost in the merciless sand of Arabia. The physical transformation of Prithviraj is incredible. His lanky frame and leathery complexion say everything you need to know about the struggles of his character. This dedication to the role is reminiscent of Christian Bale in “The Machinist” or Matthew McConaughey in “Dallas Buyers Club.”
It is director Blessy whose vision reflects from each frame. The cinematography, by Sunil K.S., is stunning. From wide shots of stark desert landscapes to tight close-ups on Najeeb’s anguished face, every image is intentionally composed. Visually, the trailer shows flashes of Najeeb's experiences: An idealistic expat now forced to fight for his life. We get glimpses of his past before the desert, suggesting a poetical narrative structure.
A.R. Rahman's background score sees to it that the visuals are even more emotionally grounded with its playing. The music captures the emptiness of the desert and the psychological state of the character. The supporting men and women, including Jimmy Jean-Louis and Amala Paul, fade in and out through a sequence with the suggestion of a narrative that goes beyond Najeeb’s lone battle.
One thing that’s particularly intriguing is how the trailer contrasts the physical ordeal with psychological grind. As Najeeb talks to himself, we sense the mental price of his isolation. Seems to remain true to Benyamin's writings while Blossy brings in his own cinematic style that no other would have been able to execute.
