The Tamil film Dexter appears to be relatively intriguing :
The movie is about a couple Rajiv Govind and Yukta Pervi who were embeds. A tragic turn of events occurs when an unknown assailant abducts and brutally murders Yukta, who remains oblivious to Rajiv’s intense feelings for her. Rajiv sinks into substance abuse, almost dying in the process. One of his friends intervenes and administers a treatment that wipes Rajiv's memories of the past.
When he is feeling restored, Rajiv develops a platonic relationship with another woman, Sithara Vijayan. But the mysterious kidnapper also has his eyes on Sithara. The story unfolds to reveal who the kidnapper is, why he has done this, and what has brought him in contact with Rajiv. Rajiv Govind is good in action sequences but in emotional scenes he could be nuanced.
Abhishek George plays the antagonist trying to intimidate. Yukta Pervi leaves a mark as the lead, while Sithara shines in her limited role. Though Harish Peradi’s character is set up, there is little to show for it. Director SuriyanG combines a revenge narrative with childhood trauma. The direction of the narrative, which is murky at first, crystallizes by the end. Srinath Vijay’s musical score and background score are mediocre. Aditya Govindaraj’s cinematography is deftly handled. The film is produced by Ram Entertainerss.
